Behind an interior, there are never only volumes, materials or furniture. There is first and foremost a way of living, a personality, habits and sometimes even memories.

A place should first tell your story

At Maison Kawa, every project begins with listening.

Before drawing, choosing a material or imagining bespoke furniture, I try to understand the person who will inhabit the space. How do they live? How do they want to feel when they come home? Which everyday uses should become simpler, more natural and more enjoyable?

That understanding is what gives meaning to the architectural choices that follow.

A beautiful interior should never feel as though it was designed only to be photographed. Above all, it should feel natural to the people who live there.

Seeking balance rather than following trends

Transforming a space does not necessarily mean changing everything.

Sometimes it means revealing what was already there: natural light, a perspective, an original material or a circulation pattern that can be completely reconsidered.

Materials, colours, lines and furniture then come together to create a coherent atmosphere. Some elements are discreet, others more assertive, but each should have a reason to be there.

For me, this search for balance is what allows an interior to stand the test of time.

From an idea to a place to live

This approach guides Maison Kawa in both residential and professional projects.

A villa, an apartment, an office or a venue designed to welcome the public naturally responds to very different needs. Yet the same question always returns:
